About Maria
Maria has been teaching yoga for 5 years and practising for 25 years. Her own practice began with styles of yoga such as ashtanga, power yoga, vinyasa flow and restorative yoga. It was based on appreciation of incorporating many styles into her practise that led maria to train with Yogacampus at the Life Centre, Islington, London.
Teachers at this centre teach many styles & lineages and after completing her 200 hours accredited by yoga alliance uk - Maria continued to add further trainings to help further her understanding of the practice she so loves. Courses and workshops which include feldenkrais, pranayama intensives, yoga therapy & recovery foundation yoga for addiction patients.
Maria is a teacher of yoga at Nuffield gyms, runs independant classes at a local hall where she teaches group classes and one to ones. Additionally by interweaving life experience to her work, Maria teaches yoga to addiction therapy patients at the Priory Clinic North London.
Her enthusiasm, creativity and humility allows all students to feel included and assisted as they journey through their practise from beginner to more experienced practitioner. Maria believes all people can and should practise yoga beginning with the simple principle of staying present with the breath to anchor us into the now.
